Adoption Application

• While our focus at PKM is assisting low income caretakers & pet owners, there are times when we need to foster cats/kittens ourselves. Many of  our rescues have had a rough start to their lives or have been abandoned by people they loved. Because of this, we take our adoption process seriously. We want to make sure each and every rescue finds their forever home.

• Our adoption process includes filling out an application, reference checks and a home visit. Once you fill out an application, we will review it, call your references, and then contact you to ask and answer any questions that you (or we) may have. Once this is complete, we deliver the rescue animal that you have chosen to your home and do a brief home check while we are there. You will also sign a contract to make your adoption official. 

• Our kittens and cats come neutered or spayed, up to date on FVRCP and Rabies shots, microchipped, tested for FIV & FeLV, dewormed and free of fleas. In order for us to have all of this done and to continue our work, we require an adoption fee for all rescues.  

•  Cats and kittens may NEVER be declawed. There are NO exceptions. 

• If, at any time, you can no longer care for the cat or kitten that you adopted, you MUST return them to Porch Kitty Manor rescue . You are not allowed to surrender them to a shelter, other rescue, or a friend. Arrangements may be taken (through us) if a family member or friend would like to adopt a cat or kitten that you previously owned. 

• Not all cats are mousers. We  hope that the cats & kittens adopted from us are treated as family pets and companions.  

• You will be asked to sign a contract at the time of adoption agreeing to the above statements. The contract has  binding and legal actions that will be enforced should any of the above agreements be broken.

• Please allow 3-5 days for us to process your application. We are a small staff made up entirely of volunteers.

Adoption Fees:
Kitten under 6 months - $125 for one / $225 for two
Kittens 7 months -1 year= $90
Cats 2 - 5 years= $75
Cats over 5 years old= $60
